Easily one of my favorite short series out there. Something about the atmosphere of the building, creepy, decrepit, yet beautiful. Seeing life gradually get breathed back into it by its new human occupants. Something about those moments where they take pleasure in the little things like cleaning or getting the lights working or watching TV. Their positivity despite their circumstances. There just isn't another manga quite like this one.
(And yeah, there's smut. It's there, I like it for what it is, since it illustrates a big part of Daikichi and Kana's relationship and how they take so much simple joy in just being together. But it can and will definitely turn people off. That's the big take it or leave it thing with this series)
In the beginning there's a bit too much sex... But honestly, it's good wholesome sex. Fun to read, and super sweet. I really enjoyed this read. It wasn't gratuitous, and didn't feel out of place. Love it
Quite smutty, especially at first, and most of said smut is pretty pointless. I thought the bit with "Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus..." was really nice. Shopkeeper-san was probably my favorite character. It's no masterpiece, and the plot is relatively superficial, but if the smut doesn't bother you, it's a decent read (I did read through it in one sitting, after all). It seems like a somewhat arbitrary point to end, but maybe the author said everything they needed to, and that's okay.
good manga to read <3
thank you Solaris
No, that was a guy. Just a few panels before they indicate the girl has some sort of illness. Putting two and two together it seems like the illness might be terminal and she was coming to grips with her mortality.
This was such a sweet manga. Even with all the ecchi.
Considering how much of this was sex it had an amazing story. I'd have liked to have seen the point where she passes on or at the very least the reason she cut herself up. 5/5. Would buy.
Very good Slice of Life.
Many touching moments and all in all a good read.
A really great story. I think it could have been longer and there were a few plot threads left loose, but all in all, very heart warming.
It felt to me like a reaction of a woman who has been thinking real hard on how much weight she had in the world, and what would become of her after death (reason why some people turn to religion).
Good manga, also that was a great spin on the old generic ghost/romance stories where the ghost is trying desperately to pass on and "oopsy daisy"...she fell in love.
Ah by the way, why the boss's employee (Yaguchi) was asking about dead people and cried after she heard boss's words? Don't tell me she's the spirit of the body Daikichi found on his job site? o.O
PS: I'm a guy...
