this is just a manga , why am i so scared for this girl ?

Other factors known to affect the age of puberties onset include psychologically stressful environments and environmental exposure to certain hormone like chemicals often from man made sources such as plastics.

Girls undergo puberty when their bodies acquire enough fat. It's no surprise that girls have been getting their periods sooner since a wide availability of cheap food has allowed people to get fatter sooner. It's the same reason why hardcore gymnasts don't get their periods until they're 14, 15, or even later.

Why do I keep reading this?

I'm reading this for

Spoiler

But I'm not really reading it because of the very young pregnancy (if you go back a couple of centuries, decades or even right now in some backwards places it wasn't/isn't excessively uncommon) but I also follow it for that device as, because as others have said this tale is about immature people dealing with what are considered very mature issues, in an often plausible manner.

Actually, the youngest person recorded to give birth was only seven. The girl's mother claimed she'd started her periods when she was still a baby, maybe between one and two years old. So honestly, this manga doesn't seem too far-fetched.

I thought the youngest was 5 years old. No? Still, what bothers me is that there's nothing about early menstruation in the manga. You would think a 9-10 year old having periods would make her parent talks but no such mention.

Why do I keep reading this?

Wouldn't a mid to late eleven be the earliest that a kid could even have a kid?

Not necessarily. Nature is weird sometimes. I myself knew a girl who had her first period at the age of 9; at the age of 11 she probably could have a kid just fine - from a biological standpoint.

Same with the girl in this manga, she just hit puberty sooner than others.

Whether she should have that kid is another question, but it's too late now anyway, might as well give birth to it. It will probably be a Cesarean though.

if you didnt know, 5th graders are 9-10 year olds (if you can count right). I'm currently 15 in my sophomore year of high school (aka 10th grade) 10-5=5th grade. 15-5=10 years old.

Though there are also other possibilities, like being held back a year, being born right after the cut off point for a grade year, actually, how has Batoto still allowed this with their overly regulative rules?

I prefer the live-action movie version. Although no one translate it.

Real loli, real shota, and fake pregnant loli. And other casts are more beautiful than this manga's artwork.

I just can't see them as 5th graders, that is, 12-13 years old, their behaviour (and looks) seems more like 8-10 yo. Otherwise, quite the enjoyable manga. I remember reading something similar in the past, though it was more of the kids dealing with the infant itself. Can't remember the name of that manga though. Baby.. something?

Damn, they need some corporal punishment in that classroom.

You do it wrong. You have to use months of 28 days, 4 weeks exactly (9 x 28 = 252 days), not 30. 28 days is also the fertility cycle of the women and the cycle of the moon around earth lasts 28 days. Those are natural months wich many natural cycles use, 30 and 31 days are calendar type.

Of course every child borns earlier or later than the expected.

you learn something new everyday. a tip of the hat to you.

Yeah, Yagi-sen, you're the worst.

I mean my god !, in a little corner of the world , this is actually happening ,and it's just like real life all the small things just pile up , until they explode in your face !

This comic is not comic.

Each human plays a role in others' destiny. but mothers have to face the highest responsibility.

My GF (soon my wife) is having a baby soon, and she lost her job because of this, as she's a so called "free launch" professional.

But we're lucky, as I still have a job, and our families are supporting us with their time and efforts, after we explained our situation.

As I'm somehow anonymous, I confess that at the beginning we were somehow against keeping the baby, but after hearing his/her heartbeat we simply felt ashamed.

Our baby has his own life, and that's a fact.

In a second our "rational" thinking was crushed. My GF' laughters of joy made me cry for my misery.

Then, we found out that, our parents were much happier than we thought, after a little perplexion at the beginning.

I've never felt so meaningful in my life.

I may sound unreasonable, but I hope she keep her baby and they somehow sort out their life in the best way.

This is Chris Hansen, why don't you have a seat.
i found out this manga have live action version
Am I the only one that takes the " x more days till Haruna has the baby" and divides it by 30 to get an approximation of how many more months she has till she gives birth?
im starting to think tama's jealous of haruna. and ill also say she never got "it" like she claimed in the first chapter.
latest chapter sure is a killer :P
