Actually, from what I can understand from the sample the author provided, it takes place 10 years after the graduation of the class from the original manga. Nube is talking to an adult Kyouko, who has become a teacher due to Nube's influence.
...Man, I still have over 200 more chapters to work on before we get to the new series...

That is indeed why we from Forgotten Scans decided to take it up.
It's a shame that no one is working on this one. I'm fairly sure that there is a good number of people who actually enjoy this series, despite it being old(ish).
