It's because people are scumbag feminists who like to ruin a proper established family that shouldn't have two working parents.
A lot of people here say she should've chosen a career over family. Why? Most people have jobs, not careers. We work to get by. If not for family then for what? And what happens when you're unable to work anymore and you don't have a family? What will you do when you're 50, 60 and older and unable to compete with younger generations? Your career is effectively gone then and you're left with nothing.
Unless you're the 1% doing something great or building a company then you have a job, not a career.
I'm in chapter 32. If you are wondering, yes, he is still an assh#$$#ole.
I used to love shoujo mangas, but now, I guess since I'm older, I'm starting to see all the toxic and abusive realtionship that manga portraits, and it's really sad.
You know as someone who actually was in an abusive relationship. I only have this to say in regards to this manga. Love can and will make you a goddamned dense idiot. Because despite all the shit those few moments where they show they care about you it is like fucking nirvana to you. That being said... i like this manga.
Edit: Oh god... why did i like this manga back in the... oh yeah... Welp... There is a word for what i am feeling at this moment but it escapes my brain at the moment.
hmmm, she loves him despite being treated that way.
If i were to choose between, the one who loves me more or the one I love. I'd marry, the guy who sincerely loves me because i can always love that person back and then live happily ever after.
Hurts when people love but not be loved in return.
Eeerrr....
On the plus side, there are already too many people on earth; we could use population declines in more places.
The Japanese need to start measuring their economy differently. Since their population is declining, it looks like their economy is stagnating or going downhill, and so it's all "population decline so terrible"--but if they measure GDP per person, it's probably doing better than lots of places whose economy is growing but population is growing too.
They should still fix their family model and male chauvinism--just not in order to get more birthrate. The paranoia about not having ever more people (on an already overcrowded smallish set of islands) is also a product of that very same conservative worldview.
The father-breadwinner model wins again. They have become a boring couple.
This manga tries to sell it as the ultimate "happiness", but less and less young people are buying it.
Erika studied in college just to... sell trinkets on the internet? And cook and change diapers.
This model is so pregnant in Japanese society that it's litterally one of the cause of the birthrate decline. People in Japan get married less and less and have less and less children, because of the impossible expectation and pressure to conform to that model.
Women are expected to marry, bear children, stop working and stay at home. Men are expected to support this family with a stable income and do impossible long hours on the job.
With this economy, where women HAVE to work to pay the bills and the jobs are not for life anymore, this has become a mirage and much too exhausting. None wants to slave away raising children just because society says so.
In face of this, some Japanese just give up any relationship and turn to the virtual or the casual. They just keep their money and time for themselves.
Their government, and conservative society, is much to blame.
Was actually expecting college life, too much to expect from a shoujo. Well, disappointing ending and on to new series we go.
wow he looks so happy in that cover O_O how much was he paid to make that expression lolol
also haha
as a married couple he looks older and more mature but she looks exactly the same pfft
My apologies. I thought you were make a judgement solely based on 57.5.
Chapter 58 doesn't seem to point in that direction...
There is 59 though
But Kyouya is still an ass. He doesn't deserve her.
Too bad, 58 is last.
But the last chapter bothers me a bit...
aww snuggling in the bed like that... so sweet...
"live together" ? that's so unromantic lol. just get married >///<
Ah, thanks for the new chapter! I was a grinning fool while reading it. Lol.
Is this the end? It feels like the perfect way to end it.
Maybe it'll do a time skip, continue the story, and ruin the said perfect ending, à la Parks and Rec.
Still, I'll be looking forward to what the manga has in store for the future.
And the actors look freaking PERFECT.
Hahah, though I feel that rather taking it literally the real message is that some of the best things in life can come from the worst things. (I do understand you're joking though dw, I'm not that dense) (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧
I feel this chapter will not hold a positive influence on its readers.
Oh boy, Kamiya was a hoot and a holler this chapter.
Idk about you guys but our class relationship was really good compared to others and I'm quite thankful that we did something similar to that. Not prom, but a farewell party with everyone, where we showed pictures we took on our school trips, random vids we filmed at school, just reminiscing about the whole hs-life. Everyone had a good time and that's what makes it precious to me. The last time we'll be complete as classmates before everyone moves on with their life to pursue their goals.
