I did read it, it's just...
If he was really going to start from zero, we'd see a guy who has no chance to start a harem. Cause we know that:
OP power=Girls for the harem coming in batches.
All he has to do is run off in some direction, find some girl in trouble, beat (or should I say curb-stomp) said trouble by using OP power making it look easy so that it looks like anyone could do it, which makes the girl fall for, or become interested in, him.
Therefore the job is pretty much done =/= From zero
Still, this doesn't excuse my rant, so sorry, but as I said I blame the deconstructions for making me like this.
Maybe the "Start from 0" bit refers to him creating his slave harem. Try to read the title in full dude
This has a light novel that explains a lot more and has a more game-like mechanic, but it basically follows the OP MC route. The gimmick of this "isekai" setting is that the MC is a trained martial arts specialist in his own world, but can steal skills of those he slays in this world. You won't like the light novel unless you like the OP MC genre where the MC topples over everything with imba power.
would you be surprised if this got an anime? I wouldn't. If they will make infinite stratos into one, then anything goes. even more so for harems like this
People talk a lot about how Hollywood is desperate for anything new they can get their hands on, the truth is the issue applies to more and more media producers. You can see the same in Japan and other places where books, novels and other things are snapped up and adapted more and more quickly and early into their story aswell as a constant drop in demands to quality out of necessity.
I.e things like this and others are finding their way into being adapted because there's nothing else left, with most of the good stuff being snatched up even quicker they have to make do and lower standards.
As of right now... bad... very very bad. Make Re:Monster look like it could win a Nobel literary prize.
The "Zero kara hajimeru" feels off here.
This guy ain't gonna start from zero, he's got a broken power, martial arts experience, wasn't a NEET.
Should be "New Game Plus kara hajimeru"
...What? It ain't my fault these freaking deconstructions of the isekai genre started hitting home.
The novel translations haven't even shown anything like that. What a huge spoiler.
