How so?
Your interest in the characters here is like what we have for Vader, before the prequels happened.
I liked this almost more than yumekui in all honesty. Imo the characters in yumekui aren't as interesting as some of the ones in here, and I find the darker tone in this one a more compelling complement to the mystery aspect than the slapstick of the original. For sure I enjoyed the action more, it scratched an itch for violence that I didn't know I had.
Any idea who the girl here on this page is supposed to be?

I dunno about that. It'd be 90% confusing to anyone who isn't familiar with the setting/plot of Yumekui.
Heavy stuff.
Too bad it came out after Yumekui started being published. It would have been a pretty amazing prequel/setup.
Dang. This spin-off does a good job of getting a good horror vibe running at times. Merry can end up looking surprisingly creepy and sinister.
That's all the information it gives. Once would assume this means that the other nightmares believe the real Merry crossed over the way they did, and the doppelganger believes the same.
In case you are wondering what
Thanks for fixing it, and sorry for the hastle!
That guideline's mostly just so silly people like me don't get confused about the status of series here on Batoto.

As it states in the last topic on that list, the status anywhere else is irrelevant. Series are only to be marked complete if they have been completed here on Batoto.
The manga is completed, as in finished in Japan. It has one volume with three chapters.
Interesting so far. I wonder if this will eventually tie into the main series, and if it does I look forward to seeing how the author manages to do so.
P.S. I see this is listed as completed. Does that mean there's only this one chapter? Or is this a mistake?
