Description: "You can do anything if you put your mind to it." That is how Mio was raised... if you could call it that... by her rather lazy guardian Reki. Born on an island she has never been off of, Mio grows bored of her everyday life... That is until Sarah comes along.

Sarah is a member of an organization that explores and manages many "Homes", islands much like Mio's. For Mio this is her ticket to adventure, excitement and the most interesting thing of all... school! But is the school ready for Mio?

Nice, new chapter! Havta say though, not sure how I feel about the sudden dark turn. Feels a little too fast...
@Souldrake Thanks for the chapter. Just a tip: Brattino doesn't have anything to do with brat, I think their names are from Italian (Burattino = puppet, Orco = ogre).
thanks!! i just hope mio and cage dont become a couple ¬_¬
Sorry for the delay guys, but I think this chapter is still getting out faster than what has been our norm on the project. 17 is, for the most part done, but in her QC spot mentioned she wanted to fix some things with the TS. If she logs in today, I will let her fix them. Otherwise I will just take a look to make sure everything is acceptable and release it tomorrow.
:D
lol
@Souldrake
Thanks for Manga-Heaven's continued work on this manga.
I'm not sure if I should like that comment or slap you for it considering we're the same group that has been doing it and no other group has "picked it up"... I kind of feel... not really insulted per se, but wronged that you don't even bother to see who is scanlating the project for you...
Whew... thank god someone picked it up. Thanks for the hard work.
@michaelman90 We will probably never know, just like with the gorilla from God Hand. XD
Thanks. Looking forward to it. :D
Is Mio just an orphan or there is something else we still don't know?

There is something you don't know and will not find out until volume 7 or so.
@Souldrake Yay!

I have a question: Is Mio just an orphan or there is something else we still don't know? Her character's profile had some ominous (?) mixed in.
We have a dedicated editor to this now so hopefully we will be able to release more regularly *knocks on wood*
I just love Mio's personality.
By the way, anyone else notice the zipper on Galile's back? Maybe it's a joke, or maybe HE'S A FAKE?!
Wow, an update after a few months only shortly after I start reading, how convenient. Thanks for that.
love how the characters are so unique and forgiving towards each other hope it get scanlated faster or gets picked up XD
Anyone know if any other group has picked this series up?
Esprit is one of those manga that you cannot stop smiling at no matter how many times you read it. It's a hi-beat, uplifting adventure over the high seas as Mio Luccanata explores the world as an Oceanic Affairs Agent.

The art is very sharp and shonen, which fits perfectly. Battle sequences also have a great edge to them as the pulse-pounding action spreads nicely across several pages. But in terms of originality, it's not something we haven't seen before: super-powered protagonist, cold intellectual friend, jealous lovers, hot-headed teachers... but the brevity of it all really lends an adventurous spirit that helps it to overlook all of the cliches. The super powers also fit nicely in this optimistic story, where a strong spirit and will is key to unlocking one's potential, but the name "Jinx" is sort of odd since it's associated with bad luck. I guess we're just running out of different words to use to name abilities.

Aside from some cliches and stereotypes used, though, Espirit is an excellent manga to pick up, although it is quite a shame it only goes to 8 volumes.

First Impressions: 4/5
Mio rocks!
God! I just love Esprit and the group that translates this, as well as batoto for letting me be on the lookout for great groups!!!
Ch.14 Finally!!! Thx for the release. Looking forward to future releases
@Chaos please don't give the spoiler about how many volume it'll be. Kind of ruin my hope, really...
Is it me or is the plot similar to One Peice?
more series to follow .....
