Not only do they not heavily injure people who are shot by them(looking at how easily Liz was treated by the sheriff and how normal the guy looked while holding his shot arm during the first few colored pages) but also seemingly have no recoil at all

(looking at how the sheriff bent his wrist to fire his gun, getting no recoil damage/injury to his wrist joint firing the gun in this unusual position).

 

Last but not least, those guns are way too accurate for being revolvers built during the American frontier period, as revolvers started to become more common only in the second half of the 19th century, and the American frontier [aka "wild west"] era ended in the early 20th century just before WW I.

 

Throwing knifes would've been way more effective,really, if you want to capture someone alive. Otherwise, keeping someone alive with a gun wound and the medical treatment options in the 19th century was more of a torture than a "treatment",

as the risks of dieing from inflammation,sepsis,pain-induced stress or blood loss were very high.

 

Also, good for him that he didn't take Liz in as his wife, because she will most likely die from the aftereffects of the bullet still remaining inside her arm [must be, because if the bullet would've left the arm and thus caused an exit-injury, she would've bled to death with just a simple bandage around her upper arm], causing inflammation/sepsis/lead poisoning in the process.

I am pretty sure the bullet only scratched her arm.

I was not expecting this one out of the six to get scanlated. I thought 4 boy adventures would get scans after Wakaki's manga.

I wasn't either, but I showed this to my TL on a whim since he likes these sorts of quirky comedies, and he fell in love with it.
