It depends on the publisher's policy though, some encouraged or forced their author to rewrite the content so they will be substantially different than their web novel counterpart while some other let the author to publish it with only minor edit.

About the Next Update on the last page, it's supposed to say August 26th, not September 2nd.Our translator screwed up.Well, we're not going to bother reuploading this chapter since it's just the date of when the raws come out and not when we promise to release the chapter, so it's no big deal.EDIT: Neeeeevermind.
Turns out it was pushed back between the time Komo downloaded the images and Este translated, so it is September 2nd.
Translator didn't screw up after all.

Most are LN->manga, and LN usually are more fleshed out since the author have more solid ideas about the characters (for example, Mushoku Tensei's WN mentions Rudeus's Quagmire day as a time skip, but in the LN there's an actual volume for that period)
Or in the more extreme case the LN being pretty much a different storyline (Overlord)

Yeah this type of story gives me goosebumps for some reason whenever they discover something explain about economy and talk about politics i seem to get excited, similar to spice and wolf and maouyuu.

Yeah we need more series like this adapted into anime or something. Well, at the moment there's not much material to go with so I guess we will have to wait. Anyway, was enjoying it enough that I end up buying the novels just to have them (the manga does not seem to have any volumes published yet)!
As much as I love fanservice, series like this is really refreshing to read. So glad that in the past years, at the very least we had series like Akatsuki no Yona and Akagami no Shirayuki. NEED MOAR.
