Chapter 20 will be the last chapter of Zero Arc II.

I'm translating Ch 19 this week, so if everything goes smoothly Ch 19 will be available in early December, and Ch 20 will start off New Year 2017.

We do not yet have confirmation on whether or not Zero Arc IV (that is, content after where the anime stopped) will be serialised in BigGanGan or not. If Arc IV starts while Arc III is still ongoing, there is a nonzero chance I may continue to translate Arc IV.

Good, I can finally read daisanshou.

Do you happen to know a mermaid named Mero?  I'd think you two would get along.

If course. Her and the lamia chick were my favorites.

Too bad I had to drop the manga for being so generic in the end anyway.

11/10 for undergarments shots

Fixed it.

Have you considered that, perhaps, people read this exactly BECAUSE it gets dark? That's literally the whole reason why I got attracted to this series in the first place. I wish there was actually more of this kind of stories around. Less harem and friendship bullshit and more tragedy and despair! Nothing gets you more invested in characters than seeing them getting hurt and trying to turn things around. Tragedy is truly the best!

May I recommend you browse the Manhwa library at this here fine site?  Because those Koreans sure like their melodrama. You'd think they were Attics...

A lot of the less porny/romancy webcomics were on naver, but they requested that their stuff be pulled down from batoto.

Some are getting "legal" translations and are hosted elsewhere. So if not for the pulling of webcomics, we'd be more exposed to good more carried works.

Chapter 18 claims that Chapter 19 will be released on 25 Oct, but they lied.

The next installment is probably coming on 25 Nov.

Just saying.

I recommend not reading this at all because the novel turns way dark and I don't see how the comic can avoid doing exactly the same.

How many more chapters do you assume for this one before I read the sequel? And does the anime cover the sequel too?

The anime already passed this arc and went on past the sequel's current manga progress... Don't watch the anime if you don't want to get spoiled for the remaining half a dozen chapters or so over the next half a year... and about the entire sequel.

I've no problem with translating 鬼 as "ogre", since even in Western culture, an ogre is not what we automatically think of when we hear the word (which is typically either a D&D ogre or Shrek).

For example, the ogre in the Puss in Boots, who could change shape at will and was civilised enough to talk to our feline hero and keep a castle in a good enough state that the Marquess of Carabas could almost immediately show it to his future father-in-law (spoiler alert ;-P).

Essentially, before Shrek, an ogre amounted to a large-bodied creature who appeared in fairy tales and had a taste for human flesh.  And in this (admittedly vague) sense, they fit like a glove for 鬼, much better in my humble opinion than the even vaguer demon, which is used for 鬼, 妖怪, 魔物 and 悪魔 more or less indistinctly.

D&D also has the smart ogre variant called Ogre Mage

And in this (admittedly vague) sense, they fit like a glove for 鬼, much better in my humble opinion than the even vaguer demon, which is used for 鬼, 妖怪, 魔物 and 悪魔 more or less indistinctly.

I wanted to include a much longer translation note than usual after the end of Chapter 16.2, but it didn't make it into the final release. So I'll only post it here. Too bad for anyone reading the series elsewhere.

The following translation note pertains to information revealed in Chapter 16.2. Do NOT read this until you have read that chapter first.

The (Bath Chapter) part in the chapter title is important.

(Bath Chapter) is inside the original Japanese chapter title itself.

So they thought it was important, too.

The (Bath Chapter) part in the chapter title is important.

Its nice to see the that manga is still progressing, the anime already got past it and i wont spoil anything but it has some awesome moments.

16.1 and 16.2 are in the wrong chapter place. pls fix before ppl rage at why 16.2 jumps back in time to 3

Fixed. The sort order for the chapters don't follow standard formulae, so they were a bit off with default sorting. Thanks for the heads-up.

But I LITERALLY just mentioned it. It's still on this comment page.

Indeed you did. I tend to avoid walls of text in the comment section unless it is from a user I recognize, because more often than not they are just a continuation of some large argument (or discussion) that I have not been following. The fact that you were quoting a post made it more likely that was the case, which is why I did not read your comment.

which btw are released once every month on our site and they should have been on batoto as well if I was actually bothered to be releasing on batoto on time

Speaking of... we're now 2 chapters behind here compared to OTS's releases.

Happens all the time, which is why animes typically have different endings and more filler than mangas.

I don't think it'll have a unique ending; there are still more volumes of the light novel.

That said, I haven't actually watched the anime, so I can't say.

The anime has caught up and surpass the manga
