The real maou here is the princess
The Devil King is manage the flag and the war with the heroes.
He even worry about balance of war and safety of the heroes.
My guess is The Devil King is bored so he want to do something, bad luck for him, the princess gonna detroy his castle sooner or later to make her ideal bed.
Obviously, everyone now fears her.
She's either going to end up falling out of the wind, flailing sleeper that she is, or she's going to get cold. Either way, she'll be back to the old bedding or try to combine all of the stuff so far into a more proper airbed than just literally floating. That's my guess anyway.
