It cost him 30 MP to bisect a giant rock, so how does the math work? Is it exponential based on the target's size? Does it depend on the length of the word? Can he string multiple words together? Do certain words cost more/less than others?

It just seems like the humans want the heroes to push the demons back so they can expand and take over any land they may need.

Lol, this reminds me of the game scribblenaut. When would he start writing things to be indestructible? 

This summoning to a new world theme has gotten hot recently.  Arifureta is still the best story in this theme, to me. 

The funniest thing about stories like this is the summoning itself.  Heroes are needed to save the kingdom so... army rangers?  hardened mercenaries? highly trained spies?  Nope, high school kids.    

I still read them.

Actually, there are a few theories on that.

1. People from "our" world have different body structures, allowing them to hold more mana than people from the summon world. 
 
2.  Sometimes the emphasis on the summon spells is that the target is "the one who can kill the demon king" or something like that.  Meaning no restrictions on what world/universe/timeline they are in.
 
3.  less common-the summoners believe that they (and their people) are incapable of defeating the great evil.  Magic is affected by belief, meaning since they don't think they can, the spell won't summon a same-worlder. They think other worlders can, so that's what ends up summoned.  Or perhaps a special type of "holy" magic from the place between worlds can be used, which their people can't use because they already have a different type of mana.
 
4. If the process of summoning between worlds is what grants power, it is unlikely that anyone from their world could do it.  They would have to go between their world to another world(which there would be no coordinates for, as the spell-casters wouldn't know where it is), then be brought back to their original world. Overall very taxing magic-wise. If they would even be able to come back.  Or, perhaps going back would remove the power you gained the first time.  How often do summoned heroes get to keep their powers back in their original world?  On another note, it would be far easier to grab someone from a different world and pull them to your location than to send a person to a place you don't know/have never seen/don't even know exists.
 
5.  On a darker note, you can experiment as much as you want on people from different worlds, especially if you are the only one who has access to them.  You can brainwash them since they are ignorant about your world and they become more loyal than any citizen who might know your political agenda.  Also, people from different worlds getting killed for your country means that you have no real casualties.  You can summon more heroes later.  Why should I sacrifice my elite warriors when I can summon easily expendable pawns from another world?
 
 
But, in all honesty, there are PLENTY of manga where heroes from the same world are souped up, but they have a different setting type.  Heroes go out and get the holy sword or go through training to become strong.  They don't all have to be summoned beings.  It's just, if the hero was walking around in the same world, there would be no need to summon him, just send a messenger out to get him.  Usually that is easier since summoning require there to be full moon planetary alignment and human sacrifices or shit like that. For the same reason, it is very difficult to study.  If only people of the royal bloodline can use this magic once every 30 years when the planets align, the mage doesn't live long enough to see a second/third summoning, so it is very difficult to study.
 
As for the freaking out thing... yeah, normal people would freak out.  It is just popular Japan culture at the moment to want to be sucked into your favorite book/game.  Actually, not just Japan, pretty sure everyone has thought this at least once about one game or another.

he is not earless, he just doesnt have beastman ears anymore, he can still hear with his normal ears dude, how do you think the MC and him communicate?

"earless" as in beastman ears, in most were-human images the location of the human ears are usually hidden by hair but who is to say they can't have human ears as well?

Just wondering, why do a lot of these kind of manga/LN/anything always had the fantasy kingdom summoning buncha heroes from another world with powerful magic that somehow grant them immense power? Can't they use those magic to somehow empower their own elite soldiers? If the magic can only specifically summon heroes, is there no mage-researcher that tries to understand how the magic works and creates new spells from those understanding? Or instead of potentially fatal magic, can't they maybe hire a strategist to strengthen their army? Also, i think, the otherworldly heroes are accepting the situation waay to quickly. If a normal person were in their position, they should've freaked out, RPG game enthusiast or not.

So many fantasy-RPG stories nowadays. Personally i would like it better without the RPG mechanics. It makes me feels like other characters other than the Heroes (that interacts with the world with RPG interface) are nothing but unfeeling NPCs...
