Yes at some point IQ it doesnt measure any intelligence but efficiency.
Keep in mind this started in 1996.
Because, as politicians in US have discovered, if you repeat "Alternate Facts" enough times people start believing them. And that's easier than actually doing things.
I always cringe whenever someone uses such a high IQ as a measure of intelligence. Isn't 160 or so good enough? It is always better to convince the reader that the character is smart through their actions instead of telling them.
Mildly entertaining, if you can ignore how they say "as expected from the 250 IQ kid who has studied in America" 2-3 times every chapter.
