Thanks for this; I couldn't believe someone gave this a shot. PS Rasha best girl.
Thanks for the memory. This was one of the first anime I ever watched back in the day.
Thank's for doing this, man. This was one of my favorite fantasy series, really happy to see the manga get translated.
You are not the only one who does! I had the anime of it. I saw the manga of it too, a while later. I thought I saw more than one volume of it. Maybe I saw it on one of the few fansubbing or fanslation sites. It has been a while since I read it.
That was a great era for anime and manga!
And I remember Yahoo groups from back then too! I used to be on a lot of their anime groups. Admined a few good ones too!
Just in case anyone's curious / waiting, 5.8 is pretty much done, but I've started work on translating 5.9 because I'm not 100% sure about how one phrase is supposed to be translated, and I'm hoping I can gain some additional context to draw from.
Wow... this brings back memories... and boy do I feel old. Back in the day, before the Internet became truly international and easy to search (the only game back then was Yahoo! at a top speed of 56 Kbps), I special ordered volume 1 from Japan, only to be disappointed that volume 2 never was published. I used to buy those expensive annual paper catalogs, but I never found volume 2 listed.
Now I know why. I'm glad you are scanlating the remainder. It's also nice to know I'm not the only that remembers this series.
Thanks for updating I really appreciate it.
That was the 90's for you. A LOT of mangas were licensed but only had one or a few volumes published overseas before being dropped for one reason or another.
Wow, this brings back some memories. They just don't do the old-school Slayers feel like they used to.
The anime is based on the manga.
So how is this related to the anime?
Also, for anyone curious, the entire OVA series is on Youtube. There are actually a lot of English-dubbed 90s anime on there.
Thanks, fixed the sorting.
And I still have the vcr tapes
After all these years, Fam is still one of the best beastgirls. Combing a kitty tail with elf ears mmmm...
allow me to follow this series
Ah, I read the first volume of this long time ago.
Lovely art and characters. Sadly the 2nd vol never got released overseas.
