Actually no , Osamu is far more interesting than them.
He's weak , and hes not naruto's type of weak(has some misterious power that doesn't controls) , he's plain weak , he's not special AT ALL , he's normal , not dumb not a genius , not athletic yet not a coach potato.

THAT'S WHY THEY LIKE HIM (by a huge margin) , he's the hero your average person could be , the more relatable and + he's a nice guy.

Am I the only one who keeps misreading their country name as "Afroraptor"?  Because I think that sounds way more awesome...!

They wanna capture the C ranks or "baby birds" as they call them because, C ranks can't bail out! They do wanna capture some A rank agents or B rank agents, but A and B Ranks can bail out when their Trion body is destroyed. So they left the Rabit Trion soldiers to capture them, for example Kitora. The C ranks are vulnerable easy for the taking, while Chika who they refer to as the "Golden Goose" has a massive amount of Trion and is a C Rank. So no the story is not a mess.

They basically want to capture any human with trion potential. It's just that the C-ranks are more numerous and easier to capture, thus making the gains outweigth the cost of the operation.

Capturing B-ranks and up is a pain (as we saw), since they are strong enough to destroy or hold off their capturing soldiers. Not to mention that B+ ranks will bail out before being beaten down enough to be captured.

Idk what the deal is with WT's scanlation situation, but in regards with this argument with other scanlation series, while I do agree that 'constructive criticism' should be allowed, what I disagree is ppl 'complaining'. Constructive criticism means to give helpful advice tactfully (even my comm prof says most ppl take advice/suggestions a ton better when they're not being insulted/disrespected). What I see everywhere instead is downright bashing and complaints that doesn't help anyone and only makes the scanlator's feel like their time and effort was all wasted. Ex: 'This sucks' [vague, insulting, and doesn't say what needs to be improved], 'the font is so ugly' [what font to use instead then??], 'translation is terrible' [well, they tried, why don't you give them pointers if you can read better] 
 
In general, I think the whole matter wouldn't have escalated to this level if ppl would just learn to use their manners.

While reading chapter 59 and 60, i'm wondering how World Trigger can be published on Shounen Jump. i mean, there is no "POWER UP" things like the others.

Don't worry.. with enough time the MC's team are all going to get black triggers (we weren't told that they can be created in life-or-death situations for nothing) and become the ray of hope for everyone while all the others somehow become completely irrelevant.

World Trigger is really impressing me. It's a shame the main characters failed to connect with the audience at first and that it had such a painfully slow start. The author has some amazing ideas but doesn't seem able to elegantly weave their explanations into the narrative. Instead their are huge info dumps and too much exposition that is required to set up the amazing action arcs. Hopefully this series survives while he gets better.

Ahhh, there it is. A classic, indeed. "It's for free, so shut the fuck up". An extremely effective conversation halter, up among the other popular expressions of "do it better yourself" and "don't read it if you don't like it". Man, you are so right. How dare these filthy leechers expect standards. How dare they not immediately throw themselves on the ground and grovel before the almighty scanlators.

Now, I'll level with you. The scans aren't bad. I dislike the name; I dislike the "better than nothing" attitude overall, I don't really get why people don't care to put any pride in what they work on, but never mind that. The cleans are all good. The translations as well. The typesetting could use a little polishing, mainly because of the font choice. Someone noticed this, and they offered a constructive line of criticism. "Consider using another font." Wild Words or Anime Ace are good choices. They would look better comic-wise, and it's not a difficult thing to chance, not at all.

Blam! Badwolf comes along, and the idea is immediately shot down. Someone who gives pointers complains about how the manga could look better? The nerve!! And just look how many people liked your post, too. No sir, we can't have it that way. We don't want better scans. Screw the artist. Screw respecting their work and aiming to mirror their work to the best of our ability. We are completely satisfied with the barely acceptable.

And this is why the scanlation community looks the way it does nowadays. This is why the quality of the scans is steadily decreasing, why scanlators are putting less and less work into what they do since they know fully well that the readers will happily accept pretty much anything that they put out.

Fans who, for some completely unintelligible reason, actively discourages constructive criticism.

I don't understand why you don't want the scanlations to look better. I don't understand why you believe non-profit work can be held to no standards. I don't understand, and I will never. It's like you're holding on to this thin little life line. "Oh dear, we mustn't criticize what they're doing!! What if we offer some improvements to what they're doing, and we accidentally hurt their fragile little feelings, and they stop scanlating for us!! And then I don't get to read my precious mangos anymoar!!!! oh noez!!!!!! we must stop errybody from critiziszsing these series at whatever cost!!!!!!!!!!!"

But you know what? Scratch that. You're right. You're so right. Scanlators can do whatever they like with their series. So tell you what, I'm going to give you precisely what you want. I'm going to take the raws for the next chapter of this series, I'm going to print them out, and I'm going to wipe my ass with them. Then I'm going to re-scan them and upload them as a finished scanlated chapter.

And don't you dare complain about how I do it. Because I'm doing it for free. That means that whatever I do with the series is the law and you should be kissing my feet since I'm even taking the time to do this for you.

Yeah this is better than nothing...but considering the anime started airing like three weeks ago and is going to quickly catch up because animes, I would have saved yourself the pain of people bitching about it and dropped it. Although kudos on having better grammar than the people that were releasing it before even if your RAW source is probably like half assed Chinese translated material.

So, you should take a look at this: Google > Union mangás > World Trigger. Chapters 1 - 68 are already out in portuguese.

By far the most impressive argument/rant I've seen in these comment sections in years. You never disappoint, my friend.

If you skipped this comment, read it. People like this are the reason you still get good quality scanlations, despite how much time and effort it takes them. And yes, as much as you and I appreciate any quality over nothing, quality does count. It's about respect for the author/artists, respect for the future readers, respect for the story itself.
