I think the joke is their differing preferences — she got excited by the pretty guy, he got excited by the transformation and hero suit (it's also a play on the Reaction Guys meme).
Alright, anyone familiar enough with tokusatsu shows to get the joke? Is it that he's making it sound like a mystery when it's really a "hero-type stuff" show?

Shoutaro is acting like an understanding boyfriend/husband here.
Otonashi: 音無 litteraly means "soundless" and perhaps better translated as "silent", it's a common family name in Japan. If it's taken as a pun we can take it as 大人しい "otonashii" which can means docile. Though we know very well that Misuzu is anything but silent/docile... It's kinda ironic how unfitting her name is...

Reread the first few chapters and it's weird to realize that Shoutaro went from the funny one to the straight man. While Misuzu went from the straight women to the funny women.
Like a total role reversal. The man who once wore a watering can and nothing else to school is now the voice of reason.
Misuzu gave him shoulder massage tickets as a present. Probably a birthday one.
