Eh, I disagree. As much as I'd like a supernatural twist in this manga, it's just that MC is very lucky and very well-adapted to the environment while most other characters are ill-adapted and maybe modestly lucky. The outcomes after meeting Satoru are all over the board. Like, his first companion was practically a caricature and would have gotten mauled by a goat or something anyway, the old guy in Tokyo was trying to kill himself and would've succeeded if not for MC, the dude with the rifle would've died of scurvy, the asshole who killed his daughter did it of his own volition, baseball dude is doing fine, the prisoner grandpa stepped into the line of fire willingly, the city with the power plant actually came out better for the encounter, etc.

And out of all those examples the only survivor is Baseball Guy, because even the city he visited ended being destroyed... for the major Satoru was a calamity (But there's another example of someone surviving meeting Satoru, the scientist and his assistant.)

I am not trying to make this into a supernatural manga neither, but lets face it, he has a history with him.

this kid never learned his lesson... how many times did he met people that are dangerous and such?... he should already be in aware and alert of other peoples by now...

Satoru does bring calamity with him to others.

Maybe his improbable good luck comes from sapping everyone else's, like Binbougami Ga! lmao

MMm That look between Satoru and the priestess i wonder how old she is (Since everyone looks thirty )

Yes, yes.

But lest face it, they are not wrong, Satoru does bring calamity with him to others.

Especially since half the people he meets dies after meeting him, when they're not trying to kill him. He may as well be a walking grim reaper, carrying a pick axe as his scythe.

This chapter 90 shows how unquestioned religion and socialism works in a nutshell.

Oh Great, even in Apocalypse mangas you will find the japanese cult showing up...

Yes, yes.

Let's look at it like a scale: Effort + Chance = Success.
Winning the lottery is maybe 1% Effort + 99% Chance = Success.
Killing a tiger unprepared is maybe 10% Effort (muscles/reflexes) and 90% Chance (Terrain, tools, statuses) = Success.
Luck is when you're at bad odds, and still succeed, like in the two examples above.
Bad luck is when you're at good odds, but fail.
By thinking, calculating, and taking unknown occurrences into consideration, one can predict Chance moments, thereby increasing Effort.
(Ex. Could I meet something dangerous like a tiger here? If so, what would I do, where would I go? How can I avoid conflict? etc.)

Other peopl might screw up the numbers. They might call you lucky, when you've practiced really hard.
Or they might call you skilled when you guessed about everything on a test with multiple check-boxes.

Luck is when skill puts you in a position to win and you just need one thing to go right and it does.

"Ah, whatever, I still got my grandpa!" Seems like a legit death flag

Isn't that luck?

You can see it like that, but luck can also be seen as something that a person can change using metaphysical means that interfere with their future and changes it into a more beneficial one, it is also seen as something that can be spend and that can be acquired and lost, and even saved... similarly you could even acquire bad luck, following that logic.

On the other hand chance can be seen as something that just occurs at random and can't be altered, it just happens without any particular connection to something related to a person (like a charm, ritual, or even destiny, if you are born to a rich household that doesn't means your life is settled, random change can still affect you like everyone else). With that said in both cases we refer to someone fortunate as lucky, which does get confusing at times (and by at times, i mean all the time).

You can't pull out luck, since no such thing as luck. Chance as been in his favor though.

The hope keep intensify and...

So someone was apparently inspired by this chapter into trying out some worm dishes of their own, which is certainly an interesting hobby to have.

i don't get what he mean by what he said at the last part of the last page...

He is pulling it out of his ass! that went beyond random chance being on his favor long, loooooooooooooooooong ago. Luck may not exist in real life, but this guy in this story is one lucky son of a bitch.

He is also demented, and i bet he will try to cross that giant cliff.

You can't pull out luck, since no such thing as luck. Chance as been in his favor though.

For a moment there when fear took command and made him stop, i said to myself "Shit maybe he is not that crazy!", then he went down with the plan anyways, and if it wasn't because he lucked out with the plotarmor like always he would have ended in the bottom of that ravine.

That said, i like how the author goes out of his way to narrate that his character is indeed pulling out all the luck in the world.

It's nice how the story depicts that when you fail, take a step back and learn from your errors, don't give up and lots of stuff like that, in my opinion. Most new mangas are all fluff and filler, like butts and tittieshots from strange angles. You're not an amateur photographer, you don't have to sketch their butts when they're saying something.

this chapter is worth the popcorn...

I hate to be the rain on your parade, but the bird was making a "kaw" sound, not the "aho" sound you're referring to.

aww, much disappoint, such sad.

"BAKAW! BAKAW!", haha.

So now he got a crow as pet....

Synchro was a mistake
