The heck? I don't think her being a robot was ever in question like what manga have you been reading because it couldn't have been more clear that she was a robot.
Not really sure how you could think this with all that had happened by the point you commented, but I think that this most recent chapter will convince you that she is not lying.
Er, no, not at all. Since she says so, her dad says so, she shut down with that coil overload in the beginning, the independent expert (Cricket) says so... I think she's a robot.
Just saying.

Kyouma looks very similar with Raven from ToV, but with total opposite personality

After reading Chapter 10....I think the old man that invented her has some sort of Robot Fetish!!!
I thought they'd explained it was "W" because that is the next letter up. They showed the "X," "Y" and "Z" axes, with the new axis, "W" coming off at an angle, didn't they?

Man, the sleeves of Kyoma are like Doraemon's pocket.
The name is obviously based on the Grendel - as all are. But what you meant to say, maybe, was "I wonder what correlations to the storied Grendel there might be?"
Probably it's just a cool unit name. Like "Spriggan." Or "Ghost."
Grendel I wonder if the name has any correlation to Grendel from Beowulf ?
