Couple of things to address your point:
A ) Manga is still at its infancy. We barely started establishing the main cast, let alone getting to fleshing them out any time soon.
B ) Hate to break it to you, but Ore-man is definitely gonna end up a love interest, its in the romcom bible. Whether he wins, though, is a case-by-case (70:30).
C ) 90% of the whole "guy helps girl get guy she likes" stories have the original love interest be as bland as possible on purpose for one reason or another. (Toradora, that Riajuu one, etc)
D ) Ore-man isn't really scummy, just a playboy-type. No women are being 'tricked', some just like that type of character at that age and go with it. His physical advances can be seen as actual harassment, though, but that depends on the place.
It worries me a little that love-interest-kun isn't really getting fleshed out as a character any more at this point... Ore-sama is nice as a comedic character, but I'll feel really weird if he ended up being the love interest given that he is, when you get down to it, basically a really scummy guy.
I like the current target of her affections. He's adorable. And very... uh, tolerant?
Then again my gut feeling is that I really shouldn't even try to predict where this screwball author is headed at this point.
Yeah, where is this going? I have no idea. Whee~
TIME TO SHIP AAAAHAHAHAHAHA *manical laughter*
Expected cute, get Ahegao instead.
Whew.
Hey there, sorry for the huuuuge delay, Uni is eating me alive so I just got to finish the redraws;;
Anyway, as I said before, if someone wants to help us proofreading please send us a PM, we have none to check Sangatsu, and yeah my English is, how you say, inelegant...
Uh, are we reading the same series here?
And I'll bloody hell use emotes whenever I want! D=
Banzai to emotes! (/OwO)/
Just because it has two main characters with something of love help doesn't make it ToraDora, no more than every manga about a kid picking up a sword is Rurouni Kenshin.
No problem, I see both sides do have points. It's just my personal annoyance when people ignoring the differences between series by using previous popular work as benchmark (every MMORPG is "SAO" even if the only similarity is the MMORPG part... oi there's ".hack" decades before SAO got popular...)
I do agree with your points, cliches are cliches because it works and it's how it's executed that is important. But since there's only 4 chapters out here and the premise is similar to Toradora, therefore, I agreed with the guy that said "O look, it's Toradora". We don't know how it'll end, but we do know how it starts and now, it feels similar to Toradora.
What do you mean that's it? That was the premise of the manga, they both wanted different people so they helped each other but ended up together. The rest were backstory that hardly contributed, what else? Also, don't use emoticons while asking something in a serious tone.
The premise might be similar but the characterization and execution are different, though it have the possibility of retracing the same ending with Toradora but the way to go to the ending is not the same. There are also tons of romance before toradora that the female lead ends up with the one who she asks for love advice, it's not like this is a unique case, heck it's happening in real life too. Should we call every case "wow, toradora!"
Don't dumb it down, giving love advice is fine and dandy. But when they're both the main characters and you still don't see it, you're lying to yourself.
So, basically any series that has someone giving love advice to someone else is Toradora now?
Basically, you didn't read Toradora, did you?
wat
Can't wait for best girl to show
Oh, its back!!
Thank you for your comment I like constructive criticism! to be honest we only have one member in our english team and I'm the one doing the "Q-Check" to Dia-san translations, since I'm not native (and lately haven't been practicing much;; ) my english comes out kinda
mehtherefore I tend not to notice that some transliterations could be changed as you said ^^"Still, we'll take that into account so everyone can enjoy reading better quality translations
(If anyone is interested in PR the translations of this manga is more than welcome in our team, tho)
o look
it's Toradora
