I don't know how the manga did it but I was with Akina the whole time. At first the otaku friends are pretty "disgusting" but I got used to them, so and so, and her brother turned out to be a cool guy. Also Akina's habit of making "lewd" noises while playing is pretty funny.

in my case, I willing to work part time job and buy a GAMING PC (not PC for work or FB, social game,...) for my niece.

getting her a PC is an ultimate move, it guarantee 100% success get one more comrade.
