Ahh. Bartender.. Such a good and heartwarming manga. Love the latest chapter. I love the description of the Bar Keeper.
What a noisy bartender.
All the time I feel like saying this, but now more than ever.
I would like to go to eden hall once and order a glass from the greatest bartender, Sasakura Ryu.
Well, I can see the worry. Ice is slippy after all. But I suspect that yeah, being skilled his blows would be very controlled, to give a sharp impact but with no follow through. Reminds me of flint-knapping somehow. Even if the ice suddenly slipped out of his hand I doubt his pick would go far enough for him to injure himself. Now if it was me doing it, that'd be dangerous.
...And another little story cycle comes to a satisfying end. Jolly good. Thanks CityShrimp!
While I understand what you mean I think the odds of him accidently injuring himself like that would be pretty low (at least at such a young age). He's supposed to be insanely skilled at what he does so it means he would be able to do it with his eyes covered, next he's not really a jumpy person so someone breaking in and screaming in his ear wouldn't be enough to make him lose focus. So really all that could ever injure him is "random act of fate" and well.. in those cases your always boned no matter what you do.

If we were talking about something like crayon vs crayon, which look identical written down but in reality indicate two very different things in each language, I might be more inclined to buy it.

The way he was breaking up that glass in Chapter 91 page 20 gave me the chills! Fellow can chop a finger off using a pick like that...

As much as sentimental the chapter is (which is pretty lame for me because I kept having tears in my eyes every recent chapter), I can't discredit the comic relief from when that guy stormed out to bar hop...
Nice heartwarming chapter
This last chapter (ch 90) is one of the used in the oh so short live action drama. The way it goes is somewhat different and has a little more depth about the story behind Sanae and Mari, but the core is basically the same. It made me realize that I liked the concept of basing the drama in a "growing up" Ryuu instead of the "mature" Ryuu we have in the manga, it provided a nice shift.

Amazing chapter.. made me stop for a bit to reminisce. Good lesson, good lesson indeed.

Guhh. After all this, and before when he traveled, I still can't believe Sasakura doesn't have a girlfriend, yet.
@oposum yea I got that I wasn't trying to say I wanted an unrealistic happy ending and that was still a great chapter, but I just can't help it if I don't like the impending death of a character I got attached to, no matter how many times I'm told "life goes on". I'm glad he's recovering though.
Anyways another great chapter, it made me reflect on all of the past chapters and think of all the lives Ryu has affected from behind the counter of the bar.
