When the truth becomes clear, the situation is even stranger. The 'teenage girl' is actually his precious pet cat Mill from his home in Kyushu, who is apparently an 86 year old 'monster cat' who can change between cat and human forms. Will Aki be able to fit his supernatural pet cat into his ordinary college life? |

"We're zeroing in on our target!"
Kitty porn doujin?!?
Thanks for keep up the translations rpapo.
The ride was nice and slow, maybe a bit slow for my taste, but was nice.
I can't imagine a different ending for it, not with the mood this manga pass from start to the end tho. It was well done.
Recommended as a good light reading for a change of pace.
Also @rpapo, not sure how you guys run with the translation "business", but I think you guys should take it easy.
What I mean is, instead of try translate 10+ works, grab a few and do it, with different release times (1 daily, 1 weekly, 1 half-monthly (is this how we say? lol sorry not native english speaker) and 1 or 2 monthly).
That way the workload on you guys is lessened but still have some good manga rolling.
Anyway, thanks for the hard work.
It would have been quicker, except that I've gotten distracted by a number of other manga along the way.
Mill was the second manga I started on my own, but the third I've finished. The other two that I've already finished were much shorter.
Very good ending for a very good manga by a very good translator. Thank you, rpapo. Three cheers!
long journey finally comes to end. Thank for your hard work and dedication translating 'till end rpapo!
and also ... I feel old too, goddammit!
thank you very much for your hard work!
So many thanks to the mangaka and to you, rpapo!
Pues, trato de hacer un buen trabajo.
Gracias. Gracias por completar esto. You did an absolutely fantastic job with this, and I have nothing but gratefulness for your effort.
You definitely are the Maestro, rpapo.
Thank you rpapo!
And there you have it. Story complete.
Well, this story only plays with one supernatural element: the existence of bakenekos... with a difference: in this story they aren't vengeful spirits. They have only two supernatural qualities: the ability to shape-shift, and extremely long life. It doesn't attempt to bring in other elements of Japanese mythology at all.
The mangaka seems to have had a very specific story already laid out before he drew chapter one. I find that he laid out specific bread-crumbs throughout the story, and has been gathering them back in to complete the story. Things like that don't happen without prior planning.
BTW, I have discovered there was a one-shot which led to this serialization. It was published in 2008, the winner of the Shogakkan Newcomer Award (Grand Prize). Just where it was published, I have no real idea. Magazines can be hard to find after only a year, let alone nine years. Worse when you don't even know which issue of which magazine it was.
This is surprisingly realistic for a supernatural manga. I love it.
What a great manga. I'm sad to see that it's coming to an end, but happy to see that it's ending well. I also feel bad for nakagoshi san I hope she finds happiness.
Nice example, and even better knowing what happened to them in the end.
Viejos los cerros y reverdecen. lol.
It's like Beren and Luthien.
This is gliding nicely to a conclusion, isn't it? Thanks so much for the chapter!
Vol.6 Ch.47: Thank You
Long-lived/supernatural beings can be like that, having amassed years of experience. The problem is if they find someone mortal, which will be a fleeting moment for them. It's like Holo and Lawrence...
One more to go. I hope to get it done before Saturday evening.
Just stumbled on this by accident and I'm liking it so far. How rare it is for a 86 year old granny (not really) loli to actually act her age. Its not something that titillates but it is interesting. The series itself is very cute.
Next chapter well into the pipeline already. Two remain.
My fossilized heart started to melt with that last scene.
All I can say is thank you, rpapo!
