What? It fits them perfectly, at least fits Ikki perfectly. He always came off as a super serious guy and hissituation with his family clearly shows that he values family a lot.

A lot of manga, manwha, webnovels & co are like that nowadays.
Ikki is labeled as failure because he's supposed to have no talent. From my understanding he only has a low mana/energypool and can't fight for a long time. Just like a battery that has a low capacity and runs out of charge within a few minutes and has to be recharged, which is a weakness instead of maybe hours compared to others. But he compensates that by removing his limiter and has a higher output/burstpower to overwhelm all his opponents.
The only thing he needs is a capacityupgrade or mana/energysteal to keep himself running for a longer time to become overpowered though he already is with "plot armor".
Ugh, this upcoming arc (covered in the anime) is depressing to a degree. I reject the existence of Ikki's father.

When you understand the whole "plot armor" thing, there's no suspense in this stuff.
You obviously have never trully been in love. You wouldn't want to "fuck" the girl you trully love, you'd want it to be something really special and meaningful, specially if its your first for both of you. Just taking her first time on a dirty floor while she is sick and had to get naked out of necessity doesn't make you a true man, only makes you one more of the many idiots that abound in this world.
What's spineless about refusing to do your sick girlfriend on a cold hard wooden floor? He already made it clear several times that he loves her. Not to mention if he got her pregnant there it would cause an international incident. She is a princess of a country.
Ikki CARES about Stella and thinks about their future. If done with bad timing, sex can actually damage a relationship or stunt further growth.
In regards to NTR, except for when the guy is an asshole or an abusive bastard, I hate it. And Ikki definitely does not deserve to have Stella stolen from him. Both of them loves, care and respect each other.
Hmmm... I'm actually thinking quite the opposite... in perhaps the most significant way i have ever seen in an anime for sure. And rarely enough in print. Is your experience with romantic relationships that shallow?
BTW, has anyone heard whether a 2nd season of the anime is forthcoming? I know there was a lot of positive buzz but haven't heard anything definite.

Wow .. thinking like an adult should be ... you can say it was naive, but i think there nothing wrong with that, i mean i think he really cherished her girlfriend that way .. even though it was his girlfriend invite him first but he declined the offer with such a logical reason .. so i think that would make him become much more worthy as a boyfriend .. i mean we don't get into relationship just for sex right ? it's more like more mutual interest shared together ...
