Creates tension, which keeps audience interest and frustrates shippers to no end. Also, a general shonen MC trait (present in this "seinen" publication) is purity/innocence, sex would violate that. Finally, writers are usually nerdy males who have no clue about women and can only write them as throwing themselves at MC, so it happens way more than it should in real life... Unless you're famous.

Just found out about this manga. Whoa Simulacra's author. I did enjoy that manga although it's too short and similar to Rozen Maiden.

EDIT: Oh I did comment on this manga back in Aug 2013.. I guess that was ch2..
