When did this go so off the rails?
Wait, I thought this manga was canceled by the publisher/author. Did it resume?
I think the story always had these sort of thing in the background, it's just that earlier books focused on Kuroe and Misaki past/present, and now the story is trying to confront the loose ends to open the path to future (i.e. epilogue)

loved this recent silly chapter. I greatly enjoy these type of stories that know how to pace themselves with chapters that while don't exactly drive the plot along, are also not entirely meaningless to be considered "filler".

LOLROFLMHO, I wouldn't say he's friendzoned himself just yet. It's much more reasonable to try to be someone's friend (when you don't know them well) than to go straight to, "I like you, will you please go out with me?" (or worse yet, "I love you, will you please marry me?") when you barely know each other. We'll call it official, though, if she says something like, "Well, I've always kind of seen you like a close girlfriend."

The series itself isn't cancelled; its magazine publication is.
But what that means is, subsequent volumes will be put out at the mangaka's discretion. Thus, there is no ETA for any chapters after Vol. 11 is completed.
