Thats kinda the subplot of the whole series. There are bad apples on either side, but you can't assume everyone is a bad apple.
That said, theres also the fact that the Inugamis are blatantly too strong. Even if you exclude the more powerful ones, if an Inugami got loose in a major city like Tokyo, New York or London, the human race would flip the fuck out. Superstrength, superspeed, humanoids were-dogs with a taste for human flesh? Its sounds like something from a "winning is impossible"-apocalyptic scenario.
I know, I've been able to practice mine recently. Hit the bullseye too. XD

Well.. that sure sucked. I hope something good happens in the end. The whole situation is pretty bleak right now. The good guys seriously need reinforcements.

I hope something good comes out of this, really.

Fuurai was awesome; he, Shippe and that other dog that was butchered for no good razon, the one that was able to control his urges for his lover, are the proves that getting possessed it is not the end of the road, still most of the inugamis deserve to be destroyed specially the most powerful ones that enjoy doing awful stuff at least the lowly ones can not control themselves so that makes them a little bit better.
I'd say scenes like that aren't gone forever. It's true that she's managed to control it better but if she's ever pushed to an extreme edge, I'd like to think stuff like that will happen again.
