I only have watched the Hollywood version of this manga...and the only similar thing is that the MC was imprisoned by a guy who hated him.

What an awesome manga this was.
79 chapters, and I enjoyed them all. I really think this is one of those must-read manga. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys mystery/suspense/psychological/seinin manga.
I have watched the movie ( I didn't like it btw) and so I thought that the story in the manga woiuld be the same, but I just read the last chapter and it seems I was wrong.
Too bad I didn't pick it up from the beginning..
