Still, I drop out. I can´t stomach another "I-want-an-average-life-my-childhood-friend-who-loves-me-is-annoying-I-like-the-other-cute-girl-I´m-getting-a-harem-sooner-or-late" MC.

And the guts, disgustingly drawn. Yes we all like blood and gore, but no one want intestines to be coloured like that.

@Pandion it did take like 60-70 chapters for that to happen though, and if you really only consider his most recent power up as when he became badass, its taken almost 90 chapters for him to get there. I still love the series, but I wouldn't be surprised if we are now on the final arc of the series

a lot of people talking about how he's reacting as expected but i think people are underestimating the adaptability of humans, what do you guys think war is, may not be because of monsters but people still get riddled with holes, blown up and all those things and the soldiers still fight, agreed some break down during or after but that's in real life itself, this is a manga and he has seen so much death it wouldn't be surprising if he stopped feeling all-together but yet for some wierd reason he goes back into normal nice guy when the fighting stops and as soon as it restarts goes into pussy mode, in no way is that a realistic response.

When are mangakas going to learn that turning your MC into a whimpering little man bitch who constantly has to be saved doesn't make him more relatable.

Having a MC that struggles with the situation but slowly acclimates( stops screaming and crying after he sees the 90th monster tear apart some unrelated pedestrian) but then accepts his new life and tries to adapt would make him much more real.


In other words make him less of a bitch and people will enjoy the story more.

I feel that one manga that does that really well would have to be Rosario+Vampire. Tsukune starts off as the typical harem wuss MC, but gradually has become THE biggest badass in his series.

not sure if this manga's gonna make it. So far its not all that believable considering the crazy shit going on with the vampires, I can't figure out why vampires would be afraid of the dark. And we're about to c the death of the 2nd pure blood out of seven makes the pace kinda quick. Also the mc isn't dumb for being a wimp in this situtation, he dumb for not realizing that's he's completely all alone with no one to trust

i really don't like the secret breed girl!!! she talks so much trash about killing and ripping them apart. i honestly don't see how she is any better than the mindless monsters that just want to kill humans. i actually like the pure breeds because they aren't blood thirsty b****** who don't give a s*** about anything. I hope that pure breed kicks her f****** a** and makes her cry like a b****!!!!

@deamsrs Uh, i don't think a normal person would just accept everything even after seeing 90 deaths. a normal person would have went crazy by then. only a person with exceptional mental fortitude would be able to accept things like this. the human mind is alot more fragile than you think.

I agree with AntHill_Inside, they CLEARLY only one girl gives a crap about him, the others and the origizantion just see him as bait, he is a normal human being, with no super powers (at the moment) can anyone who is in situation not be scared shittless ? people around him are dying left and right, his close friend is actually a complete stranger who replaced her, has family is dead, and his love interest tried to eat him, can anyone really blame the guy for being a pussy ? I think this is a example of a manga were the MC can be a wuss atleast for a while, and not to mention, what is going to happen when the pure breeds are gone ? he sure as hell isn't going back to his normal life, when bait's job is finished, YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS RIGHT? dude is boned either way, may as well go along with his vampire childhood friend and become happily ever after.

What some people fail to realize is that for all purposes as far as we know he's just a normal human. He doesn't have any kind of special power and most likely wouldn't stand a chance whatsoever. And it's not like his reactions were any different from all the other normal people who screamed, cried and tried to run away in terror.

Also he shouldn't actually help these girls. This chapter just once more proofs that the girls don't care about him a bit and he's merely bait to lure the pure breeds out. The same goes for the organization backing them up.
As soon as they think the last pure breed is killed the question will arise what to do with him and it most likely wont be very pleasent. So what reason exactly has he to aid them? Would you give your executioner his axe?

All I want to see now is Eruka kick some major fucking pure breed ass right now. I just love her as a character right now. To me I think she is closer to the MC role than the actual MC is.

I understand what you all want him to grow. I am trying that in a story actually and I think I may of had some growth (To be fair he learns he has some power.) I can hope he grows some balls at one point. Or at least does something that is heroic (Like maybe taking a strike to save someone. The pure breeds would be pissed if he died)

Hell sticking with these people might actually get him killed. They tried to do him in once already just "to make sure". They're not his friends they're his enemies just as the vampires are. Hell most likely they're more dangerous to him then the vampires because those want him alive.

Ever asked yourself who killed his parents and childhood friend? The vampires only started to show up recently and they had no reason to go after them. The organization the secret breeds belong to on the other hand had a lot of reasons.

This manga is really good. But the MC is such an asshole. He has no depth at all except for his cowardice. If I ever quit this manga, It will be because of that asshole. (>'x'<)
