Also the 'friend' makes me think of the 'co-worker'(or w/e) from Koimoku(provided I got that name right), who seems to have the same hair, eyes and sinister aura that just makes him all-around unlikeable.
the guidebook reminds me of deathnote but besides the point... I wouldn't say this more hardcore than Fate... Its too early to judge anything, so time will tell for this series.
