Hoooly fuck. I just read all the chapters. It took me about a week. It was worth it. I'm glad I found this series. I'm only able to talk in simple sentences because my brain is being overloaded with manga.
If the author remembers his first book the story ends with Kaoru getting shot.
Jesus, i'm reading this for over 12 years... Still it's a bit less when compared to Bleach, Naruto or One piece that is still ongoing. Well there is also hajime no ippo but this is in it's own category. Besides there are other manga with similar history/lifespan.
Matsukaze isn't even up for consideration in my eyes, her ending up with no one is way better then with Matsukaze, she has had no interest in him, it would be too out of the blue.
Plus he is like a generic clone of Minamoto, with even less personality.
I swear they better not pair up Kaoru with Matsukaze; I'd rather have a no-romantic-resolution end.
