I get that he may need to keep up pretenses and throw out some denials, however, was it really necessary to imply Lin Fan was creeping on him? It makes it sound like she was coming on to him and is the type of person who may consider using rumors of their relationship to try and push him into a relationship. Its one thing to put distance between you, its another to publicly embarrass her. Of course, in the end everything will sort out, it just seemed a bit more excessive than necessary.
