I really, really like this manga. Just finished reading the last chapter, and overall I must indeed say that the story left a big impression. I really wanted a better ending though, but I have a feeling the manga was probably discontinued by the magazine.

got interested in this manga, scroll down to select chapter 1 to read. GET MAJOR SPOILER from latest comment. ARE YOU FKING SERIOUS? USE THE SPOILER TAG IDIOTS. For anyone else interest in this manga, do not read the comment below this.

I'm not gonna lie, I stopped reading after her death, it just didn't sit right with me. She'd just gotten out of the hospital for injuries worse than that and then she gets offed like a civilian in an alleyway, despite having extensive self defense training. I would have been able to swallow it better if she'd died getting her revenge, but the way it was executed just felt like an asspull.

Not a very good manga, it was good but it lost focus midway into the manga and became terrible. Story was just bad and hardly any good romance

It's been a long ride for Zero-In, so I'm glad to see it finally wrapped up. Honestly, my memory of the story is fuzzy at best, but I do recall a few things that pop out. The manga started out well enough, and really, built itself strong with the inclusion of other heroine girl, that is, until she died. This lead to her investigation arc. Which was great, as the story that involved her as well as MC+Heroine (cause I'm really lazy to remember names) was decently designed. Her death felt like a stepping stone into what would be a darker world that the MC+Heroine would have to face.

This brings up a big problem. After they solved her case, I remember SEVERE filler, with the occasional character chapter for Heroine thrown in here and there. Pretty much, it wasn't until the final arc with the Witch and the school terrorism that there was really relevant to the overall plot. The story would have flowed many times better if it wasn't for the fact that many superfluous characters and stories were thrown in during the middle.

Which is to say, that is also the reason why I won't be rereading this or recommending this to anyone. I just remember being so fustrated at the meaningless filler, the tonal whiplash between relevant chapters it created, and the overall lack of development of characters outside of MC and Heroine (and other heroine girl). Enjoyable at times, but difficult to get through.

Overall, it was a pretty cute read. Hardly any "retarded ecchi" elements to be seen.
Alas, the "story" itself suffers from a complete lack of structure which manifests in apparent time skips and constantly featuring random gag-orientated chapters which hardly develop the characters and hardly contain any connection to any preceding or postdate chapters; it's hard to tell whether the author tried to have a consistent plot with honest-to-god drama and emotional twists and turns, or just wanted to have amusing characters whom fuck with each other.

Either way...Zero-In is not the best, but it is also not the worst.
It's just okay, and oddly enough being "okay" and not "holy fuck what a piece of shit" is an achievement all on its own.

I hope they do Inoue Sora's next manga My Ball. Healthy soccer.

uhm, who is Hayate Kurumi? She kinda popped out of nowhere.

Noooo why the haircut? At least it's just the last chapter... sigh hate haircut

Yeah, it seems trivial but it still annoys me every time that happens in a manga. I guess it has something to do with a characters image growing on you as you follow the series, and then when there's a sudden change that makes them look somewhat out of character, it doesn't feel right.

Anyways, haircut = "development".

I think this still has a good chance to have an anime.

This was a nice ride, thanks.

I'm still furious this manga was cancelled in my country; left me with a couple of volumes in my library which I'll never be able to complete.

At least I could finish reading it here. Again, thank you very much for finishing this series.

Accurately firing two guns at once is fantasy; the practical limitation for why this isn't done in real life is that marksmanship suffers too much, but we can accept that someone who is just really good could do it and it would be more effective than someone with just one gun. Firing four guns at once with this ridiculous setup is just retarded, no matter how good somebody is. A pair of machine pistols would be more effective if you're willing to believe that anyone could hit anything firing two machine pistols one handed. In reality, an SMG would be able to do the job better with less size and weight than four handguns taped together.

That's assuming accuracy was intended to be part of the equation at all, instead of someone treating the fight as a (potentially lethal) game.

Thank you for finishing this great series

thanks...awesome

Why hasnt this been made an anime already? :( , but thanks for the hard work Japanzai & XScansX,Ala-Atra Scans & AT-Translations, Geisha and NS Scans.

The same reason why most mangas aren't made into an anime. It (probably) wouldn't sell. This is also a pretty old series. It first started in 2004 and the early story "arcs" (if you can call them that) have aged pretty badly.

One of my side hobbies is to participate in USPSA competitions. I am still a beginner and a bit slow, but:

The "GrandMasters" scare me. A lot.

Wonder how Mikuru would do

To every person complaining about realism. Please let's try not to go into how real were the gunfights or the sustained injuries since everyone with a little of common sense knows that vests have a certain durability and lose some it every gunshot they stop. Recieving a gunshot with a vest will bruise you and if you recieve 10, like they did, you probably won't be able stand up, even more being a 50kg highschool girl.

So yeah let's try to enjoy the fantasy, after all, it was quite epic :D

To be fair only Mikuru was shot near many times and she has some top of the line armor so it could survive that many hits in this universe. Depending on what it is may out of and the improved techniques in making it. More importantly it did deteriorate before the end of the fight.

really, the only really unrealistic that happened in this fight was Witch dual welding 4 guns, but I can let that slide because everything else was so awesome.
