I don't see any information about the series being "axed." Going through the linked raws and official pages and looking at it, there's no announcements or anything. Closest anything comes is on the pages comment sections (Marumaru) where Japanese readers are ALSO confused and asking if it's finished. But what is weird is that the author seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth in late July. Twitter (@fudouran), Marumaru, Alphapolis, Ameblo it's all not had any updates since like July. Even if the guy ended the series or it was canned (and there's no evidence I can find for that), it doesn't explain him who was active all up until now suddenly going silent for almost 3 months.

feels like Abnormal Kei Joshi again ...

it sell well, the response from reader also good ...

but ... the mangaka themself are the one who stop it ... darn ...

Are you sure about this being axed? The Sources I found list it as "ongoing" and the Translator lists it as "waiting for RAW"

And axed, it was fast.

Really enjoying this manga. Followed.

Also reminds me a lot of "Superior." Very similar set-up/premise to that. If you like this, check that out (or vice versa).

If anyone is wondering if this manga based on something, it isn't.

It's an original manga published by Alphapolis (who also publish other series like Spirit Migration, Re:Monster and Gate) not based on light novel or web novel.

That's actually a departure for them then. Usually they only licensed webnovels for adaptation into LN/manga. Guess they're finally hitting the bottom of the licensing barrel for isekai stuff and looking to create new original ones :)

Apart from the 2 main characters I really don't understand who the other characters are mmm...
The mangaka really need better explanation about the characters background mmm...

Just my speculation but the fat guy is probably a son of a yuushi party member due to his gunslinger ability whom is a scholar type person.
The girl demon probably ex-slave that gunslinger guy saved.
As it is speculation please do not trust in it being true.

>you will never bully Yuusha by holding food above her head out of reach while she starves, shrinks progressively smaller and calls you a meanie

I actually really wanna know the love story between the Yuusha and Dakune. I could use some more bittersweet romance.

I would also like to see this story, and who knows maybe dakune will actually turn to be grandma >=P

(doubt it though)

I can't help but viewed this into the heart-warming story between a grandma with her granddaughter after the recent chapter

Why do ppl always wish for some characters to die? At least the maid is a fitting contrast to the rest of the group or else it would be more boring.

She doesn't have to die. They can go for one of her appendages. And it was an obscure reference to Monty Python's

Brave Sir Robin's minstrels, who were devoured for sustenance.

The mc is that man, isn't it? It's harem manga right?

That feeling when psycho puppets all around are trying to kill everyone you know.

Except you.  Instead of trying to kill you the puppet chasing you tries to rape you.

Getting better, but they should eat that annoying maid. Also, this party would do pretty well in Dungeon Meshi.

This felt like Dungeon Meshi with more cute girls and less awesome cooking. Will follow for now, let's see where it's headed.

I can't remember the last time an ingredient told how to prepare itself whilst being carved. It's very...

Spoiler

I see your [ingredients telling how to prepare themselves], and raise you 2x videos of [sentient foods committing suicide].

*Also, you should probably put large images in spoilers tags, or else risk the mods who hate fun, bringing down ban hammer/comment section locked.

Dat pumpkin is the true yuusha

So disjointed. Let me guess, it's based on a visual novel?

Unless the author/artist is wrong or discredited, no. Typically, having a direct different author/artist is a dead giveaway that it's an adaptation, with the author being credited to the author of the novel (or original work), even if the artist is the one truncating it.

I personally haven't noticed any disjointment.

Rest in peace, Pumpkinbro

You deserved better
