Prediction:
While I agree that it's been a bit since that part of the story got any progression, you gotta realize that this series is not about them, it's about the people who work at the Miyama Inn and the people they know and meet. So the series will regularly focus on different people and story lines.
............To think that Keiichi Morisato could be a role model to this guy on how to get it on with a goddess. this is proof that the world is strange.
