Weird ass freaking shit. Almost everything about this manga kinda creeps me out on some level. Well, whatever floats your boat.
There is an anime, but if you like this manga, do not watch it. Ever. It took the story and removed every single thing that made it so charming. There is zero mythology and taboo relationships and desires, it mostly follows an original storyline. (No Hiruko, no black stone girl etc) It's not bad bad, it's just horribly average and completely dull, which is like a spit in the face of the manga. I almost couldn't finish it, but as soon as I did, I pressed 'delete'.

Well, days of week are named after elements too, but combination of Sun, Gold and Fire in first story is pretty interesting.
