wow the mystical elf got one ugly mug when decapitated
New chapters coming soon!
This was the first manga I had when I was young. Only volume 1. I lost it tho... ): Probably won't be able to find it since I moved away from my old house, which is where I lost it.
I wasn't gonna say anything but believe it or not I have other projects to work on. You gave up on this so I don't know why your asking like that
Keep up the good work guys! It's great to be able to relive the great moments in full colour!
Bullying is just wrong. Destroying people's brains with magical powers is a-okay!
> had a manga
Even the wording of this very sentence is horrifying....
This doesn't "have a manga", it _is_ a manga. The manga came first, before the card game or the anime. This is the original, true YuGiOh series.
Durou MONSTER CARDO!!
HOW!?
Thanks for the advice, but in case you didn't notice I was only upset in like my first comment at how much I feel conflicted, and maybe a little in my second comment. I'm not repeatedly geting upset like you claim, but just so you know whatever fan translation you're using has a ton of problems, and reading through it is awkward and it doesn't seem like it even follows proper English, which I get. Cause Japanese is a very exciting language and once you get used to it you start to type English like it's Japanese. Anyhow some stuff just made no sense at all, almost contradicting other stuff. I think personally you should just use the Viz translation. It makes perfect sense and uses proper grammar, and certain fan translations have weird spelling like Zork instead of Zorc, though that's a lesser problem. I would be more specific but that's hard to do in a comment section, if you want to hear my full opinion then you can message me. Also where did I give you a bunch of rules to follow? I was actually asking you for the rules your team follows so I can be consistent in my translation with your team if I decided to just do a specific arc like the last one. Anyhow when you upload the full 1st volume i'll take a better look. Also can you tell me what font you use and why it's taken you so long to upload these chapters? And I promise I'm not upset, but why do you feel the need to state my age?
gonna hit you with a few things. Seeing how you've done nothing but get upset over and over again. Let me lay down some things for you.
1: I had these pages last year like I said. I haven't had photoshop and just got it back the other day so I was stuck with this for a while.
2: What is your issue with the font? You praise the viz version so much which has wild worlds in it.
3: Right now I took down my chapter but I will be putting up a volume instead.
4: if you want to work with someone it's better to actually talk with them instead of laying down a ton of rules. Pro tip for you kid who's 14 years old. That's a great way to kill your own project if your working with other people.
I agree lol.
I like how this is how has been going. What an odd back and forth we're having here is what I'm saying.
Would you like to make a deal where your team does half the series and my team does half lol. Or something like that, we'd get the series done twice as fast lol. Idk, either way your translation is pretty awkward to me, no offense, and I've re-uploaded the 4 chapters my team did, just waiting for them to be approved since I don't have contributor status on this site.
Amazing.
Also if anyone would like to see the four chapters my team did, maybe even to compare it to the translation of Jojo's Colored Adventure Team, here yah go:
Chapter 1: https://ygoprodeck.com/yu-gi-oh-manga-project-chapter-1/
Chapter 2: https://ygoprodeck.com/yu-gi-oh-manga-project-chapter-2/
Chapter 3: https://ygoprodeck.com/yu-gi-oh-manga-project-chapter-3/
Chapter 4: https://ygoprodeck.com/yu-gi-oh-manga-project-chapter-4/
Also Musicedge are you guys planning on sorting the chapters and naming them the exact way the Viz translation does? Where the chapters are titled duel instead of battle, or maybe those are the same words in Japanese, but will you renumber them to one when you get to like chapter 60 and 279, like Viz did? Also do you at all translate signs or anything like that, even the cards themselves? When you put the name of characters will you guys be using the exact names and spelling the viz translation uses, like Zorc instead of Zork, though that's in the last arc which I'm gonna be doing. For card names will you do a direct translation all the time or do what the Viz translation did, which changes the names to the TCG version. Will you use the exact translation of the cards that for instance the wikia uses, since the same card can appear in multiple chapters and there's a chance you might translate or spell it's name differently in another chapter? Also what font do you guys use, to be honest I don't Iike it that much but i'm willing to use it to stay consistent with you guys. Also how do you typically translate the titles?
Also in all honesty it's pretty awkward to read your translation, the font is just really weird, legit i'd rather you used anime ace despite a lot of people hating on that. I've noticed a couple typos in only the first couple of pages, so you should fix that. Things are just not phrased right in my opinion, probably not even grammatically correct. I don't know, maybe it's cause I'm so used to the Viz translation. I definitely prefer mine to yours so far, even though in yours you redraw images when erasing floating text while in mine I just added boxes, though I don't do that anymore. It's just the way you translated everything that's the issue.
EDIT: I think I'm just gonna continue doing what I've been doing, starting where I left off at chapter 5. Your translation is just too damn awkward, not gonna lie. Gonna re-upload our chapters to this page again soon. (Which is chapters 1-4.)
That's a shame. I had these chapters done like last year. I'm just getting to put them up now. believe it or not but I've had the color pages for months now.
Yah I'm freaking pissed to be honest. Feel like I just wasted a translation of 4 chapters, when I wanted to aim for the whole series. And now I'm feeling so conflicted.
It's one chapter just relax. Also I just got a new computer so I didn't have photoshop on me at the moment. Gonna upload the new one in mere moments. Also what's wrong with the translations?
>jojo's colored adventure picked it up
Wow, didn't expect that
Can we get some edits on the translation? There are some random grammatical errors and some stilted language that make it less fun to read.
I like both equally, they have their own charm.
Anyway, I've read Yu-gi-oh in black and white already, so I don't mind rereading it in colour.
