So I am not very knowledgeable about these things, but being a part of the "mermaid clan" doesn't mean actual mermaids right? I tried out the first few chapters and this had me a bit confused. If there is a historical significance to this clan name can anyone fill me in? Google is failing me pretty hard (and I am not even sure where I would look for more information on this)

Not sure if in same universe but this series updates on saturdays, my boyfriend is a jinyiwei on fridays and "dimwitted monk" on tuesdays (although it hasn't been updated since august so not sure if it's completed or on hold). I think the artist must have many hands to be able to draw so much, very impressive!

No matter what I See, That brat Murong Zi remind me of Lin Gujiu, But more assertive, carnivore and Stronger although Gujiu more Sly fox than Murong Zi
and Jun Qingxuan Remind me of LianLian Although more perverted and Narcissist
Also, is the comic artist and author does 3 series at same time?? OUTSTANDING!!!
Some differences between this series and my boyfriend is a jinyiwei:
-this series has a much darker tone overall
-male lead is sultry, very sultry (calls mc kitten)
-female lead is not a weeb like Gujiu is (Gujiu occasionally peppers her speech with random japanese words which tragically gets translated out for the sake of clarity)
-female lead is supposed to be a weirdo but i don't think the author actually made her weird enough
also it says so in the synopsis but not in the actual story
