ch 29-50 missing
it's almost a constant with almost all chinese manhuas. there ARE a few with solid and clear storylines out there like I, Female Robot
Its a classic problem with chinese novel adaptations. The author usually take a lot of liberties and almost always ruining the story. If i haven't read the original i would have understood less than half of what's going on.
The art itself is fine, but the fact that the characters from time to time make exaggerated faces on dramatic moments annoys me.

Dude I think you're ignoring the fact that the "Super Grandpa" 's grandson tried to kill the MC. And who knows if MC let grandson live, grandpa could have still went after MC to save his grandson's pride. Your perspective is so narrow and so dumb lol. It hurts my head when you talk about the MC like he changed recently or something. Near the beginning of the mahwa it showed that he carried a pessimistic attitude and that is what helped him survive thus far; remember when his first master wanted the same jug of spirit water and if MC was honest he would have lost the orb and gotten killed. Have you been paying any attention to the show? lol
...Is it wrong that I'm rooting for the other Cultivator (Who I cannot remember the name of, so I just call him Super Grandpa Cultivator) at the moment?
I mean, he's a massive asshole too (Like everyone with any power in this series, so far!), but I find it kinda weirdly cathartic.

Yeah characters tend blend together at time's especially for these stories 'cause a lot of side characters pop up that the author themselves at times forget. But it's also kinda expected 'cause these are based on webnovel's so editor could probably tighten things up. But main characters can usually be remembered I think. And there leveling up system is for the most part variations of a base concept from novel to novel. Something like absorbing energy of some form, whether its the stars, earth, elements ect. and building up power then jumping up to a new level and making breakthroughs by facing some trial. I guess it'd be easier for people who have grown up on stuff like this though.

Im pretty sure "saints" should be "immortals" like "taoist immortals". Chinese mythology doesnt really have the concept of saints as in the western world.
Story drags on for way too long and keeps getting side tracked. Going from sect destroyed -> training -> getting chased from a city by some bad guys is dumb. And then he forgets about his friend to train some skill.
Way too complicated and long winded names that are too hard to remember. Does anyone seriously memorize all these insanely long names? Not to mention memorizing how they level up?
The mc is still alright (i guess??), but then yeah i agree the other cultivator are just plain shitty
Why am I still reading this? The MC and all other cultivators have no humanity left, they're all selfish assholes who will not only kill to gain strength, but cannibalize their enemies afterwards. Literally in the case of one chapter.
