I'm not sure if i got your quesiton right but you mean if this manga contains shounen-ai or yaoi? No, it is not a major part in this manga, nor is romance (if anything, the hinted pairings are straight.)
The first chapter was more like rubbing people the wrong way, slight sexual harassment sort to test the waters.
So world end stuff just hits the spot for me, even if its a shounen, but this doesn't have the faggotery tag on it.. Or was that just the first chapter?
I would've never expected to have a new update.

My personal POV, when I first read this manga back in the days, I really believed that it had potential. Even though I knew that the manga series was being dropped and the story was incomplete
the unsatisfied feeling after finish volume 4 made me sad back then ;_;, the mysterious atmosphere that the story and spun and really took me in. I kept hoping that one day the author would pick it up again after so many years but no avail =\.After saying all this, the storytelling and art itself was realy unforgettable in my books, people that doesnt' mind incomplete endings should give it a try.
This was all but a midsummer nights dream...
