It ends ;_;

It's not that bad and I quite enjoyed it

Quite nice, I must say. One of the few shorter stories that are actually really good. I am normally one that thinks of books of less than 300 pages as boring or Manga and the like with less than 50 chapters. But praise where praise is due. Didn't play the game or watched the anime, but the story is good nonetheless.

And that's our manga, folks! Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed translating it. There are still a couple little omake to be done, but the plot stops here.

Damn I really need to continue the game again.

Oh, Vreveil, why did you do that? Ah well, been nice knowing you!

Taking bets on how many more pages he lives.

(If you want to discuss this plot development in any more detail, please use the spoiler tags! This is unique to the manga and so it is a surprise even to fans who've seen other adaptations)

So this manga end at chapter 13 not 12? or chapter 13 is the latest chapter and then the author stop?

Chapter 13 is the end. It's an actual end, with plot resolution; the author didn't simply stop. There's also a couple little omake that I'm doing as well, but the story is finished next chapter.

And I was mistaken in my last post; this manga has thirteen chapters, not twelve. Now there are only two chapters remaining. This one was actually easier to translate; perhaps I'm getting the hang of this?

Now it's Naja's turn to be awesome.

A word of warning to diabetics: chapter 11 contains 7g of sugar. Please adjust your insulin dose accordingly.

What's wrong with this world? Morte. Morte is what's wrong with the world.

And Agan is so melodramatic.

Well, btw, thanks to pick this series again. Saw the chapter 1 to 5 was from 3 years ago.. oh man.. really.. thank you. (y)

You're welcome. I was five years late to the SoD party, and the fandom has always been tiny anyway, so there's not a lot about it out there. It kind of bothered me that this story was unfinished (I have no clue why Kuu-Scans stopped, though my personal theory is that their translator took a look at Naja's science words and noped out of there), so I decided to track down the original. My Japanese is actually rather infantile, so I have to translate slowly with a dictionary to read it, and I figured if I have to write down the translations anyway, I may as well go all-out and translate it for others. It's now my personal mission to finish this. Just two more chapters to go!

Ehh...??Ehh...??? What just happening? What was that on the last chapter last page?? Princess?? Lord Destruct?? What's her relation with that Lord Destruct?? and Kyrie??

Ok.. need next chapter to release as soon as possibble..

Rushed to get this one out quick to make up for the last chapter's delay. Vreveil's name gave me trouble; I'm less-than-familiar with the Book of Enoch, particularly since apparently most translations render it Vreteil, or Vrevoil, or Vereveil, or just call him Uriel (doubly so as NOTHING about that was in either the game or anime; red-haired Kyrie was just Kyrie with his powers activated, not a separate guy). Spent an afternoon Googling that.

Naja and his science words continue to amuse; first time I've used "thermal nociceptors" in a while. Although I think the Dragons are the most fun to translate, as they're both quite silly at times, ja.

Also, Morte, shut your mouth, hon; you're drooling a bit.

My apologies for the delay; life and certain non-manga projects have been vying for my time. I also discovered something more difficult than Naja's science words: Rhi'a's ancient liturgy!

Is it just me, or this manga's storytelling is a mess?

Yes, it is. It was written for fans of the game, and is predicated on the idea that you've played it and so have the knowledge to fill in the gaps in the story - but it's changed so many things that what you know about the game may apply very little or not at all. It's not so much an adaptation as it is officially-sanctioned fanfiction.

Minoru Murao, please don't write over your pretty art. The Destruct's armor is so hard to redraw... TT_TT

And Naja should've been a science professor!

YAY a new chapter! Thank you (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

You're welcome. I have volume 2 as well and intend to translate the rest of it. Should be able to get through one chapter every week or two, depending on how much text each page has (and how many complicated kanji they use...Naja I get talking like that, but I thought Morte was more the "little words, big actions" type).

I feel like we're missing a chapter of development or something.
Played this game a couple years ago. Remember with the right skills/combo Morte could kill bosses in only one or two turns. Hope she's that badass in the manga.
The Story follows neither the game, nore the anime, but its still awesome
Awesome. This is the first I've ever heard of this. So game and anime I've never played or seen. I hope to see more soon.
My thought:
"Morte seems sadistic and looks like she is fond of Kyrie. I think I'll put her in the category of Hot&Sexy Sadistic Antagonist right next to Esdese"
I hope someone picks this up! Been 3 years since last release.
hey it's the game sands of destruction
The only thing this has in common with the anime are the names, which is a good think a very good thing.
This is so DAMN AWESOME!!!
It's a good manga, follows the game, better than the anime.
