Jokes aside is interesting to see how not everyone is so welcoming of victims like Coco for reasonable reasons. Tho they also don't know It's better to keep her around to avoid her getting used more directly by the baddies.

Same, Mine was thinking same too, the art look like old kids fairy tale, somehow fit with story and amazing plot toward seinen readers(BUT DAMN CLIFFHANGER-KUN).

I love fantasy series that go in depth explaining the logic of their version of magic, it's such a nice touch that really helps bring the world to life. Really looking forward to reading more of this!
You're thinking of The Ancient Magus' Bride, and I agree. They have similar vibes to the way they go about their world building, too. Another one I'd compare both this series and Ancient Magus to is Somali to Mori no Kami-sama.
