I've heard about chuunibyou, I've heard about chuusanbyou, which is totally different, so I have no problem thinking this 6th grader syndrome as another completely different thing either
If it was a mistranslated "chuunibyou", it was mistranslated by the author...
It's written as 小６病 (shou-6-byou)
It's a gag-story though so it could be an intentional thing
Oh, and if she's dead, she's allowed to enjoy her afterlife however she wants, right?
That doesn't necessarily mean that it wasn't the case that "chuunibyou" was mistakenly translated as "sixth grader syndrome".

Also known as Chuunibyou , it is a symptom where a person believes his it her life is that of an anime or manga
