The story is not bad, but the word choice feels like it was done by someone just copying out of the japanese-to-english dictionary. :\ Sorry, but the word "splenetic" is an extremely rare word in English and would not normally be used where it is being used here.

Yup yup, I couldn't help but keep laughing at the incongruity of the word. I associate such rarified language with, say, aging English gentry, and to see it used like this by blushing young lovers completely cracks me up for some reason.
