So huge that Oda didn't even finish it after 18 years...hahaha....

Th Ryuma from "Monsters" seems to be the legendary swordsman from Wano that is mentioned in the Thriller Bark ark of One Piece.

They have the same name and both slayed dragons.

I wonder if Oda made any other cameos

It's similar to this one-shot in the aspect that it's another version chapter 1 could've gone.

So, basically, there are two pilot chapters before the series started off as we know now
Usually, there is only 1 pilot chapter before a manga series, so it's unusual, but all the better for us!

one piece's first chapter is distinct from the oneshot in ways that are still effecting the plot 500+ chapters later, so "plot differences"

Wanted is great. All of these oneshots are great. I hope Oda outlives one piece so we can get more of these

This is a collection of Oda Eichirou's earlier works. It was really interesting to read and to see how characters* and the plot changed in One Piece as we know.
BTW, beside this "Romance Dawn", there is another Pilot for One Piece.


*Funny thing is, I remember finding characters from One Piece (earlier character designs, of course) in other chapters of this volume.
