I wondered the exact same thing... probably there is a reason to that... I hope there is xD.
Why was the biker guy just standing there and putting his hands ontop of his helmet while the veins of his face were bulging? Like...whats the point? Is he posing for the pillar? Was he about to transform?
Those names have been triple filtered and believe me, in Japanese is WORSE, if you thought it was chuuni with that level of filtering...
Still, I do enjoy this series regardless of how shounen it is for some reason.
That moment about being impaled in the head felt cheesy and forced but well, from what I've seen from the following chapters, I think it does improve a little bit on its chuuni syndrome (I skimped through them, I hope I'm not wrong xD)
... fail.
No tentacles.
To much pointless death.
And no ecchi fan service... just power fantasy.
Honestly, I was thinking to myself "Why is this funny? This isn't supposed to be funny but it is...". Maybe that's it, I dunno.
Have you ever read Golden Boy? It starts off great and funny then just turns perverted and distorted to the point where it takes you out of the story and say "Oh man, this guy has some issues". It's a convoluted mess much like the author's thoughts on the world.
I am all for environmentalism, but this is way too preachy. And the simple message of humans suck. Well not that much they don't. There seems to be a deep sense of negativity and pessimism among some manga authors.
This manga is so chuuni it hurts.
The way they keep yelling attack names, the horrible naming of their weapons, the biker guy doing dramatic poses in the middle of the road....urgh.
And apparently its not medical care that determines if you live after getting impaled in the head, its your desire to live. Lol.
This is so bad... So if I get impaled in the head by a spike then my "desire to live" is what determines whether I survive or not?
Too shonen to die.
Chapter 2 ending...inadvertently hilarious.
It's more like it's not popular so the publisher decided to axe it. Then the author resumed it on his own as a unofficial sequel doujin titled "Vs Earth 78 After" on his private pixiv account, it's free to read as long as you have pixiv account http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?id=789788 .
Axed seems a bit off since it has a sequel that's still ongoing. Looks more like a dispute with the artist since the author is doing the art in the sequel.
That's quite an achievement. Most axed manga i know of didn't even pass 50.
So...
Whac-A-Mole
Shocking. /sarcasm
oh damn , glasses girl , i had such high hopes for you
Axed at chapter 78
Hmmm, I'll follow and see where it goes. It looks a little odd but it might grow on me.
