This is so weird, like...everyone is saying it's like Hana to Akuma, but it's like the most clumsy, weird version of hana to akuma possible. You definitely can't just talk about fucking your kid and then make out with them in front of the school...

Holy shit this is the most fucked up "good ending" I've seen in a WHILE. I assumed the whole adoption thing would be used to put some distance between them as parent and child, to make the incest less creepy, but it's virtually the exact opposite. Like, because the premise required her to be adopted, the author went even at the father-daughter angle even HARDER to compensate. And that's not even getting to the vampire stuff, which is startlingly uncompromising about their need for blood and the extent to which they view humans as food.

It's weird. You could take the exact same story, adjust a few frames here and there, swap some of the sparkly screentone for something more sombre, and it would be indistinguishable from a dark, psychological fantasy dealing with the obsessive love between two broken people. Hell, it's almost easier to read it like that already. Really, as messed up as the actual content of the story is, the erotic romance presentation is probably the most disturbing thing about it.
