Also, that wasn't a railgun, more like a partical beam cannon. Railguns deal with a shell or shrapnel, and that weapon was clearly just shooting a beam.

unless said railgun can shoot a projectile at relativistic speeds, at that point the pure kentic energy is enough.

And in theory if the projectile is moving fast enough it would appear to be a laser beam.

because i feel like being picky, im gonna point out that a kinetic weapon with significantly high enough rpm and velocity may resemble a beam, but what i think you were trying to point out was that the weapon was probably a kinetic energy weapon as opposed to some sort of pumped coherent light, or directed energy weapon.

also ya as soon as a humanoid enemy showed up shortly after a "dead sister" flashback it was kinda locked who that was

Best girls are Kasumi and Phi, and the former sister zoned herself. I can't help it if I like the smaller girls. Besides, Phi keeps striking a nice pose.
