NEEEED MORE

I'm kinda sad that it was only a oneshot lol

My problem with Music Genre Manga is that I lack the imagination to believe in the music...or pretend to hear it

More like a Shounen Kimi no Tame ni Hiku Chopin, ( http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/kimi-no-tame-ni-hiku-chopin-r3422) but with Violin.

Eh.

lol this is a crappy hikaru no go

Good to know it's even half as comedic as Shiori Experience.

No offense but feels like half-baked version of Shiori Experience.

I kinda see that

Well, yes. I'm sure we can find other series that have the same premise as well. Not that it really matters though.

As for this series itself I don't mind it much. There are some things that need to be fixed if it to become a series though.

Well, pretty much. The one-string premise is pretty weak. For starters, there isn't much pieces that uses a single-string violin. The only one I could think of is Moses Fantasy.
If it does get serialized, the author really should have something up his sleeve.

Does anyone else feel like this a violin version of Kurogane? A ghost teacher enlists the main character to carry on their legacy after their untimely death and because of the main character's amazing sense (eyesight in Kurogane, hearing in V no Akuma) they show amazing talent despite being a complete beginner. Its pretty much exactly the same plot.

It'll be good if the author doesn't pull the "playing with one string" stunt, seems like the author trying too hard to make the character godly tallented or something. And also it feels like disrepect to deliberately ruin an instrument in front of a jury in a contest... Really, the beginning and the end is quite ok, that single scene ruined the whole one shot for me.

The author was inspired by a real life figure named Paganini, the so-called "devil" violinist, who played so amazingly that he was rumored to have sold his soul to the devil. The one-string violin is also one of his quirks.

Its pretty much exactly the same plot. Except Kurogane's protagonist struggled with low physical ability and couldn't succeed no matter how hard he tried where V no Akuma's protagonist was just kinda lazy and had low self confidence. So I honestly prefer Kurogane over V no Akuma.

So he sold his left hand for music, now i know what happens to Kaori's legs....
