Man Akamatsu is having fun with creative powers. Unlike Negima with set magic rules, this time powers are set as beyond the scale from the get go wich gives almost ultimate creative freedom.

Also don't know if grim or not =_= Lives seem to be saved by time travels or respawns/savepoints constantly, so never know if terorrist act will have any consequences.

Original Negima ending timelines are so tangled even author don't want to dwell too much on it. And it was clearly stated that best girl win timeline was a distorted timeline, bleed version if you will.

Honestly I feel that the harem elements in UQ holder are a detriment. The pacing of the manga seem to grind to halt whenever we have to focus on Touta's harem

also the constant nudity during fights is starting to bug me. I get it's supposed to be sexy/funny but if you do it for every battle it starts losing it's edge and becomes mundane

I think Ken wanted UQ holder to have the same feel as negima so he felt he had to add those elements, but they were so poorly implemented they distracting

I don't care if Girl A is falling in love with touta, we just saw what could be the imminent destruction of the world, maybe nude water ski races aren't the most important thing right now.

And it's all alternative timeline, Honestly, all that worldbending kinda kills the joy of the story.

i actually asked them abt that. they said that the TL guy thinks it's "ewa" in japanese, so they're going with their TL guy. i think the only way we can fix this is if someone can buy an original english copy of Negima vol 1, or the last one (both have the full class roster)[
