@ PLG... well i wasn't just referring to combat types. pretty much most webtoons end in cliffhangers every chapter. it's really annoying. especially when most of the time you get roughly "initial D" sized chapters.

and it could be it's so early in this series but yes this story so far is written like a 5 year old did it. jumping from present to past to present to past. going off in odd places in such.

What's annoying me isn't so much the cliffhangers as the flashbacks. I'm glad there's a back story, now could you just tell it? Or don't. All these little snatches of hardly-related insight are getting seriously annoying, like a jigsaw puzzle taunting me with a quarter of the pieces. By the time there's enough to make a picture I'll have forgotten half of them.

Well, there's combat-heavy webtoons and then there are the others like "Nineteen, Twenty-one" and "Annarasumanara" and "Orange Marmalade" and stuff. The latter often rock.

i can't help but hate almost all webtoons. other than a rare few (like nobless and dr. frost, GoHS) the rest are nothing but cliffhanger after cliff hanger. it's like, "i just used my ultimate attack and killed half the world but you won't find that out till next week." then next week it's "i just survived that attack and now counter but you won't find out what happens after till next week" rinse and repeat. at first it was cool but when every webtoon i read is the same it's gotten to be pretty annoying.

This manga feels disjointed.

I dont think anyone knows, really what the synopsis is.

Have a kid who's dad was powerful, but left his kid behind with a friend and hasn't been heard from again. Don't know much more than that.

Hah! Comadrin, I might have guessed you'd have read the Amber series. I didn't really think anyone would dig that reference.

Interesting. It does remind one of Chronicles of Amber, with people just as manipulative and sneaky as the Princes of Amber were. Hope it stays interesting.

Well, they've sure got their "You are a worthless wuss and I will not break a sweat killing you" banter down pat. They been watching old Naruto or Dragonball Z episodes or something?

Hrm. I find myself wondering if the author has read the Amber series by Roger Zelazny, a classic fantasy series in which a noble family with superhuman powers and a weird relationship to the creation of the cosmos travel and communicate among themselves by means of Trumps, magical cards with their portraits. Well worth reading, by the way.
Not that this is exactly like it or anything, but it feels like there are echoes somehow.
